Call to Worship I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations. For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. Hymn # 110 Hallelujah, Praise Jehovah

1 Hallelujah, praise Jehovah, from the heavens praise his name; praise Jehovah in the highest, all his angels, praise proclaim. All his hosts, together praise him, sun and moon and stars on high; praise him, O ye heav’ns of heavens, and you floods above the sky.

Refrain: Let them praises give Jehovah, for his name alone is high, and his glory is exalted, and his glory is exalted, and his glory is exalted, far above the earth and sky. 2 Let them praises give Jehovah, they were made at his command; them forever he established, his decree shall ever stand. From the earth, O praise Jehovah, all you seas, you monsters all, fire and hail and snow and vapors, stormy winds that hear his call. [Refrain] 3 All you fruitful trees and cedars, all you hills and mountains high; creeping things and beasts and cattle, birds that in the heavens fly, kings of earth, and all you people, princes great, earth's judges all; praise his name, young men and maidens, aged men, and children small. [Refrain] Call To Confession And God spoke all these words, saying: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 7 You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. 8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You In a time when You may be found. Psalm 32:5–6 (NKJV)

Confession of Sins Let us, therefore, confess our sin, saying together: “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me... Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities” through Jesus your Son. Amen. Word of Assurance Brothers and Sisters, your sins have been forgiven according to God’s promise that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness... for we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 1:9, 2:1-2) Song of Renewal Gracious God my heart renew, Make my spirit right and true; Cast me not away from thee, Let thy Spirit dwell in me; Thy salvation's joy impart. Steadfast make my willing heart. #486, stanza 5 (Ps 51:10-11)

Scripture Lesson: Exodus 20:12-17 (NKJV):

12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

13 You shall not murder.

14 You shall not commit adultery.

15 You shall not steal.

16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.” Sermon Hymn # 347 The Church's One Foundation

1 The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ, her Lord; she is his new creation by water and the Word: from heav'n he came and sought her to be his holy bride; with his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died.

2 Elect from ev'ry nation, yet one o'er all the earth, her charter of salvation one Lord, one faith, one birth; one holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food, and to one hope she presses, with ev'ry grace endued.

3 Though with a scornful wonder men see her sore oppressed, by schisms rent asunder, by heresies distressed, yet saints their watch are keeping, their cry goes up, "How long?" And soon the night of weeping shall be the morn of song. 4 The church shall never perish! Her dear Lord to defend, to guide, sustain, and cherish, is with her to the end; though there be those that hate her, and false sons in her pale, against or foe or traitor she ever shall prevail.

5 'Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, she waits the consummation of peace forevermore; till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest, and the great church victorious shall be the church at rest.

6 Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won: O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with thee

Prayer of the Church and the Lord’s Prayer “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Hymn # 105 O God, We Praise Thee

1 O God, we praise thee; and confess that thou the only Lord and everlasting Father art, by all the earth adored.

2 To thee all angels cry aloud; to thee the pow'rs on high, both cherubim and seraphim, continually do cry.

3 O holy, holy, holy Lord, whom heav'nly hosts obey, the world is with the glory filled of thy majestic ray. 4 Th'apostles' glorious company and prophets crowned with light, with all the martyrs' noble host, thy constant praise recite.

5 The holy church throughout the world, O Lord, confesses thee, that thou Eternal Father art, of boundless majesty;

6 Thine honored, true, and only Son; and Holy Ghost, the Spring of never-ceasing joy: O Christ, of glory thou art King.
